Okamiden

Console: DS
Gameplay Hours (approx.): 45-47
Players: 1
Final Rating: 8/10

A Japanese game that never really hit it in America, that's Okamiden. Although it got a slight push of popularity with Chuggaaconroy doing an LP of it.  But I'm not here to tell you about the history, of this thing.  I'm here, to tell you what I think.  In a rather long review (or at least that's what I thought after writing that sentence).  This game presents a really interesting story as well as a challenge to many younger and less experience players.  The important part of this game is that this game is one of the games in which it is most recommended to play the original, Okami.  Beside the point too, being said that I played the original and I well understood it.  Overall, this game, is just a great RPG, go ahead and play it you want, that is if you like Japanese mythology.  Yep, this game and Japanese mythology, are best friends.  Orochi, Akuro, Manpuku, Charity, and Kurow are all characters in this title.  If, however you woud like to play this game with the ultimate goal of 100%, you should surely read up on your Japanese mythology

Rent, Pass or Buy
In my opinion, buy it.  It's a good game, and there's no doubt you're gonna wanna play this game at least 3 or 4 times to unlock all the hidden secrets it presents.

Wii Play

Console: Wii
Gameplay Hours (approx.): Varies per player
Final Rating: 6.5/10

Really, I don't know what it is about me today, I just felt like reviewing a party game.  And what better to do it on then the only one in the ever elusive Wii series. Like every party game, this one will bore you to DEATH, if you don't have more than, say, three players to it.  Recommeneded for younger childrenm this game happens to be one of the most dissapointing in the Wii series.  If that's what Miyamoto wanted, that's beyond me, but overall, this game was kinda fun, I guess.

Rent, Buy or Pass
Buy this game, that is if you like mini-games and having laughs.  If you game alone, this game is a definite pass.  Take my word for it.

Here Comes the Boom

Duration: 1 HR, 41 MINS
Starring: Kevin James, Henry Winkler
Final Rating: 8/10

Sometimes, I like to review movies that no one really likes or bothers to see. I really liked this one, as much as I thought it was gonna be stupid funny, (which it was), I found this underated, underfunded production, extremley entertaining, for a variety of reasons.  Firstly, I was one of the many kids who read Henry Winkler's kids book series, Hank Zipzer.  So to see him on screen for the first time in a while, it was quite good, to say the least, overall, I found this title very entertaining

Watch or Pass
This is quite possibly the most straight forward response I have ever given to a review.  Watch this movie.  It's as simple as that

Pokemon Black and White 2

Systems: Ninetndo DS, Nintendo DSi
Gameplay Hours (appox): 45
Players: 1
Final Rating: 3.5/10

Simailarily to my last review, this game has an amazing effect on someone who is just becoming oriented with the series, would have a blast playing these games.  Likewise, someone, like me, who has been playing Pokemon since Crystal came out in 2005, did not have much fun, playing this game.  For a variety of different, that can not all be stted in the condensed review that this is.  Firstly, Nintendo has announced, time and time again, regarding these games, that it is simply something to chew on while they come up with some more horribly designed creature for Generation 6. Please, please, don't get me wrong, I love Pokemon.  But then again, the 5th Gen Pokemon were easily not as creative and full of character as the closer to the originals.  And the second and most prominent reason, is the compairison to the originals.  Usually, close to nothing changes when a dual or sequel version of a Pokemon game comes out.  Nintendo changed their motifs completley with the release of these rather dissapointing titles.  But, you can decide how much you like this game for yourself.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

System: Wii
Gameplay Hours (approx): 30
Players: 1-4
Final Rating: 6/10

Everyone would have had to have played an old time Mario Platforming game sometime in their lives.  But, to be blantly honest, this one not of the best of that elite group.  Sure, this game on it's own could have gotten a new generation of kids into Mario, but for old, returning, faithful fans, it should be a sad dissapoinment.  For the dissapointing reason that I have been playing Mario for quite a while, this game came as nothing but boredom.  Sure, the classic goomba-stomping levels we all know and love have been modernized, but one the best things about a Mario platforming game is the boss', the castles, the levels that people wanna kill themselves tyring to do.  And honestly, this is one of the games, in which the boss', castles etc, are sorely lacking.

Rent, Pass, or Buy
It's hard in this respect, but honestly, since I bought this game, and enjoy it with many of my family members, I would have to say, despite my harsh criticism, buy this game, that is if you're surrounded by younger family members

Modern Family Season 4

Starring: Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Sarah Hyland
Time per Episode: 23 mins
Episode Frequency: Every Wednesday
Final Rating: 9.5/10

Usually, shows get old.  Usually, they only get to keep on a small variety of viewers for a season or two.  But, Modern Family is different, amazingly funny, and keep you coming back for more, every week.  Modern Family is one of the few things on the Internet or TV that I can honestly say that I was beyond excited for each week.  It's recommended for people just starting out to go back to the classic, Modern Family, in which to become better oriented with the series.  The show, complicated enough as it is, follows three families.  Each one with an intertwining story as they are all related by some spectrum of blood relations.  In conclusion, great show is all I can say

Watch, Pass, or Follow

Follow this show! It's extremley funny and deserves every Emmy it either won or was nominated for!!
